BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (June 16, 2017) - In a continued effort to increase patient access to advanced physical therapy services in Wisconsin, ATI Physical Therapy announces the opening of two new clinics in Green Bay and Appleton. To celebrate the grand openings, the ATI Foundation, which provides aid to children with physical impairments, will host special beneficiary presentations where two local families will be given the resources and funding to support their children with special needs.
Through the ATI Foundation’s ongoing mission to give back to local communities, one family from Appleton will be presented a $1,500 check, which will cover the costs for a special piece of adaptive equipment for their child’s wheel chair. Another family from Green Bay will be given an adaptive bicycle that will support overall movement and allow their child, who suffers from multiple medical issues, the opportunity to ride a bike with other kids.
“We are excited to announce the opening of our two new locations and also have the ability to give back to the communities where we work and live via the ATI Foundation,” said Regional Director Amy Goebel. “ATI physical therapy may be a new brand to these markets, but our therapists have long-standing ties to the community, which is important to us. The ATI experience is based on the principles of exceeding patient therapy and service expectations, so we are excited to have such an accomplished team in place to carry on our mission.”
The two new ATI clinics are located at 2394 Costco Way Ste.120 in Green Bay, and at 3212 E. Calumet St. Ste E & F in Appleton. The new locations, which lifts ATI’s presence in the state to 27 clinics, offers convenient access to physical therapy, sports medicine, workers’ compensation services and complimentary injury screenings from the industry leader in physical therapy.
The community of Green Bay and Appleton are invited to celebrate with ATI at its open houses, taking place at each of the clinics. ATI Appleton will hold its open house on Monday, June 19 from 4:30p.m. - 8:30p.m. ATI Bellevue-Green Bay will hold its open house on Thursday, June 29 from 4:30p.m. – 8:30p.m. ATI Foundation presentations will take place during each of the open houses.
The Green Bay clinic is led by clinic director Carinna Coleman. Coleman enters the practice with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Wisconsin-La Crosse and Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Physical Therapy from Millikin University. Coleman also has a certification in trigger point dry needling. Her professional interests encompass all orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, but she has a more specialized concentration in intramuscular dry needling, treatment of temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) and cervicogenic headaches. Coleman also provides hands-on treatment to address joint and soft tissue impairments while instructing patients in the prescriptive exercises needed to provide lasting change.
Leading the team at the Appleton location is clinic director Jamie Wickershiem. Wickershiem graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and masters in Physical Therapy. Wickershiem has worked in Green Bay for the past 17 years and joined ATI in 2017 so he could better serve the community he lives in. Wickershiem specializes in a manual therapy approach with prescriptive exercise to support neuromuscular re-education and physical change. He has also taken special interest in spine and tailbone dysfunction through extensive continuing education courses in treatment of the spine, tailbone and extremities. Wickershiem is focused on creating specialized treatment programs and providing hands-on care, using evidence-based treatment techniques designed to help patients reach their goals.
First appointments with all ATI clinics are scheduled within 24-48 hours, and early morning and evening hours are available to accommodate patient schedules. Rehabilitation services include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, sports-specific training, and therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
ATI accepts virtually all major insurance carriers, verifies patient benefits prior to the start of treatment and offers individualized payment plans. Unique to the industry, ATI’s dedicated in-house research department aims to improve patient outcomes through basic science, research and evidence-based medicine. This includes the ATI Patient Outcomes Registry, a collection of data that supports an innovative approach to physical therapy that improves awareness of patient outcomes and how the rehabilitative process can impact patients’ quality of life.
