BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (July 3, 2017) - ATI Physical Therapy, the nation’s largest physical therapy practice under one brand, is excited to announce the opening of its first clinic in the northeast Illinois suburb of Wilmette located at 114 Skokie Blvd. ATI’s Wilmette-Skokie Blvd. clinic will offer the community access to physical therapy, sports medicine and workers’ compensation services.
Leading patient care at Wilmette- Skokie Blvd. is Clinic Director Katie Housam. Housam graduated from Purdue University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Health Sciences. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University in 2015. Housam enjoys working with a wide range of patient populations and specializes in vestibular, prosthetic training, as well as functional exercises and therapeutic activities to return patients to optimal levels of function. She has taken continuing education courses to improve her knowledge and clinical skills in orthopedic pathologies, joint mobilization, muscle energy technique, and vestibular pathology and treatment. Her clinical experience includes treating patients for pre and postoperative care, musculoskeletal pain, neurological conditions, preparation for work hardening, vertigo, prosthetic training, and postural/body mechanics education for prevention of further injury.
