Smith, PT, DPT. Smith graduated from Butler University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2015. Smith specializes in manual techniques as well as functional exercises and therapeutic activities to return patients to optimal levels of function. She has taken the Orthopedic Certified Specialist course and board certification examination, and is currently working toward attaining her Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapy specialization. While working in Chicago, Smith often volunteered her time and physical therapy skills at an elite gymnastics gym by providing assessments and physical therapy to gymnasts. She is passionate about working with athletes as well as other patient populations in the outpatient physical therapy setting. Her clinical experience includes treating patients for pre and postoperative care, musculoskeletal pain, work hardening, neurological conditions, and pediatrics.
