Two new locations to open on June 27

ATI Physical Therapy is excited to announce its expansion into Central Illinois with two new locations in Springfield, slated to open on Monday, June 27. The ATI Springfield Southwest clinic will be located at 2308 W. Wabash Avenue, and the ATI Springfield West clinic will be located at 2325 W. Monroe Street. Both facilities will offer physical therapy, sports medicine, workers compensation services and complimentary injury screenings from the industry leader in physical therapy.

The community of Springfield is invited to celebrate with ATI at its open houses, taking place at each of the clinics on Sunday, June 26.  ATI Springfield Southwest will hold its open house from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., followed by ATI West from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Joe Williams has been named Clinic Director of the Springfield Southwest location, bringing over 25 years of physical therapy and sports medicine experience to the community. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University in 1990, and has since been practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Joe enjoys seeing a variety of orthopedic conditions, with a special interest in lower extremities, work injury prevention and pre-work testing. A native of Illinois, Joe currently resides in Pleasant Plains with his wife. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, gardening, dancing (Ballroom, Rhumba, Cha-Cha, etc.), traveling and attending Cardinals games. Joe is looking forward to welcoming new patients and returning them to an active and pain-free lifestyle.

Leading the team at the Springfield West location is Ryan Schallenberg. He received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Southern Illinois University in 2001, then continued his education at Bradley University, earning his Master of Physical Therapy in 2005. Additionally, he holds an APTA Orthopedic Clinical Specialty Certification.  A native of Bethalto, IL, Ryan relocated to Peoria to further his education, then moved to his current home in Springfield to begin his career as a physical therapist. He brings over a decade of outpatient physical therapy experience to ATI and looks forward to returning the residents of Springfield to an active and pain-free lifestyle. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, especially with his two sport-loving sons, and going camping on weekends.

“Our expansion into Springfield is a pivotal move for ATI and our continued commitment to the state of Illinois,” said Mark Schodrof, Senior Vice President of Operations at ATI. “We are looking forward to becoming a part of this great community, offering our patients exceptional care, trusted expertise and remarkable outcomes—customized for their needs.”
