ATI Physical Therapy expands coverage to Coventry plan participants in Delaware and Maryland

ATI Physical Therapy has expanded its contract with Coventry Health Care for Delaware and Maryland, allowing all Coventry group health plan participants “in network” access to ATI Physical Therapy. The coverage includes the PPO, HMO, and POS plans in both states and the Diamond State Plan – Coventry’s Medicaid HMO – in Maryland.

The nationally-recognized physical therapy provider currently operates 44 locations in the Delaware and Maryland region, and this new relationship allows ATI to reach over 80,000 individuals insured by Coventry in the area. Previously, ATI was only able to offer PPO plan coverage to Coventry Health Care participants in Delaware.

“We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Coventry,” said Ralph Franceschini, Senior Vice President of Operations. “We’re now able to offer the highest quality of care in a friendly and encouraging environment to our existing and new Coventry patients in a more affordable manner.”

Founded in 1996, ATI Physical Therapy is a nationally-recognized provider of orthopedic rehabilitation services specializing in physical therapy, work conditioning/hardening, hand therapy, aquatic therapy, sports medicine, and women’s health. The physical therapy provider currently operates over 200 clinics nationwide.

ATI prides itself on taking physical therapy to a higher level through developing evidence-based treatment programs backed by an in-house research department, providing transportation services for those with medical need, offering expanded hours, and performing complimentary injury screenings.

Named “Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation” by Advance Rehab Magazine, ATI has also achieved URAC Core Accreditation, a mark of distinction that recognizes ATI’s commitment to quality health care.

To give back to the local communities where ATI patients and staff work and live, ATI established the ATI Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting children in need of resources and funding due to medical complications and physical impairments.
