ATI Physical Therapy Opens New Clinic in Mishawaka, IN

Residents of St. Joseph County now have access to one of the nation’s leading outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation providers.  ATI Physical Therapy is excited to announce the opening of a new location at 221 Day Road in Mishawaka.  The clinic, which opened on September 22, is ATI’s 41st location in Indiana.

Conveniently located on Day Road, across from the Princess City Plaza, ATI provides physical therapy and sports medicine in a friendly and upbeat environment.   Mishawaka’s energetic and motivating physical therapists will provide a personalized, hands-on approach to get patients back to their best.  Services include: manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, sports specific training, and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.  

Michael Johnston, PT, CSCS has been name clinic director of the new Mishawaka location.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Allied Health with a major in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1998, and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Over the past 16 years, Michael has rehabbed thousands of professional, collegiate, high school and recreational athletes.  When he is not treating patients, Michael is a recognized speaker with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is involved with the promotion of strongman competitions with United States Strongman, Inc. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Michael served in Dessert Storm from 1990 to 1994 as a Marine. 

“I have been a physical therapist for 16 years, and I have never seen a company so committed to the patient experience,” said Michael.  “The new facility is beautiful and I look forward to serving the greater Mishawaka and South Bend area!”
