Matt Smith Physical Therapy Joins ATI Physical Therapy

ATI now in 13 states with over 400 locations

ATI Physical Therapy, the nation’s largest physical therapy practice under one brand, is proud to announce that Matt Smith Physical Therapy has joined ATI. The acquisition adds the state of Nevada to the ATI team, which includes 12 outpatient physical therapy clinics located in the Las Vegas Valley.

Dylan Bates, CEO of ATI Physical Therapy, is thrilled to bring another market leader into the ATI family. “We are committed to being the leader in the physical therapy industry and continue to build a unique platform. The addition of MSPT and our growth in the southwest region is an exciting new chapter for ATI. We look forward to our future together.”

As Chief Clinical Operations Officer, Brent Mack will oversee the integration of MSPT, and looks forward to welcoming the team. “The addition of Matt Smith Physical Therapy is a natural fit for ATI,” said Mack. “As a leader in the Las Vegas area, Matt Smith is dedicated to the highest standards for patient care. Together, we will continue this mission, and look for future opportunities that will allow us to positively impact the lives of more individuals.”

Matt Smith Physical Therapy is the leading provider of physical therapy, hand therapy, sports medicine and workers’ compensation services in the state of Nevada, dedicated to delivering high quality, individualized care, and serving the local communities where patients live and work. Matt Smith will remain an owner within ATI, overseeing the Nevada market. Additionally, Lou Hillegass will serve as Vice President of Operations, managing the clinical functions of MSPT. All staff and clinics will remain in place, with the same commitment to extraordinary patient care and the local community that has been Matt Smith’s trademark for 15 years.

“We are merging our business with the leading platform in physical therapy. This partnership will allow us to grow and provide additional benefits and services to our patients,” said Matt Smith, President of MSPT. “While our name may be changing, our clients will continue to have the same wonderful care from our entire team. We hold steadfast to our vision of Changing Lives, and this ‘change’ will have a positive impact on all those we work with through our practice.”

With corporate headquarters located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, ATI currently operates more than 400 clinics in 13 states: Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington and Wisconsin.

ATI is a comprehensive orthopedic rehabilitation provider, specializing in research-based physical therapy; work conditioning/hardening; functional capacity evaluations; sports medicine and performance; and women's health. Unique in the industry, ATI has a dedicated in-house Research Department to improve rehabilitation outcomes through basic science, transitional research, and evidence-based medicine. This includes the ATI Patient Outcomes Registry, a collection of data that supports an innovative approach to physical therapy that improves awareness of patient outcomes and how the rehabilitative process can impact patients’ quality of life.

Recognized for outstanding quality, ATI has been named “Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation” by ADVANCE Rehab Magazine, and has received URAC Core Accreditation, a mark of distinction that recognizes ATI’s commitment to quality healthcare.

To give back to the local communities where ATI patients and staff work and live, ATI established the ATI Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting children in need of resources and funding due to medical complications and physical impairments.
